Answers to common questions about our forensic services.
Process & Service
It's simple: (1) Book a free consultation through our website - pick a time slot and we'll call you. (2) We discuss your situation, answer questions, and recommend the right package. (3) We schedule a weekend appointment and come to your home. (4) We forensically image and analyze the device on-site using professional tools. (5) You receive a detailed findings report with screenshots and a walkthrough of what we found.
A Quick Check typically takes 1-2 hours on-site. A Standard or Full Analysis takes 2-4 hours depending on the device and amount of data. In some cases, we may need to take the forensic image home for deeper analysis and deliver the report within 48 hours. We'll let you know upfront what to expect.
Yes. We provide on-site service throughout the Phoenix metro area. We come to your home on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) by appointment. This means your device never leaves your sight, and there's no risk of it being lost or exposed during transport.
We can analyze most consumer devices including: iPhones, Android phones, iPads and tablets, Windows computers and laptops, Mac computers, and external storage drives. Some very old or heavily encrypted devices may have limitations - we'll discuss this during your consultation.
Our forensic process creates a bit-for-bit copy (image) of the device using a write-blocker, which prevents any changes to the original device. The device itself is not modified in any way. However, we cannot guarantee that the device owner won't notice other indicators (such as the device being in a different location or the battery being lower). We only work with clients who have legal authorization to access the device.
Legal & Authorization
Yes, when done properly. We require every client to sign a consent form confirming they are an owner or authorized user of the device being examined. Parents have legal authority over their minor children's devices. For shared/family devices, the registered owner or an authorized user may consent to examination. We do not work with anyone who cannot demonstrate legal authorization.
Before any work begins, clients sign: (1) A Service Agreement outlining the scope of work, (2) A Device Ownership & Authorization Consent Form confirming legal authority over the device, (3) A Parental Authorization Form (for children's devices), (4) A Privacy & Confidentiality Agreement, and (5) A Liability Waiver. All forms are available on our website and can be signed electronically before your appointment.
Our reports are prepared for informational purposes. While we use proper forensic methods, our service is designed for personal use, not for legal proceedings. If you anticipate needing evidence for court, we recommend consulting with an attorney first. We do not provide expert witness testimony or court-ready forensic reports as part of our standard packages.
No. Wise Forensic provides digital forensic analysis services, not private investigation services. We examine devices that clients are legally authorized to access and report our findings. We do not conduct surveillance, follow individuals, or perform any investigative activities beyond forensic analysis of the provided device(s).
Pricing & Payment
Our packages range from $350 to $2,000 depending on the service and depth of analysis. Child Safety packages start at $350 (Quick Check), $750 (Standard), and $1,500 (Deep Dive multi-device). Device Analysis packages start at $500 (Initial), $1,200 (Full), and $2,000 (Multi-Device). Rush service is available at +50%. Visit our Services page for full details.
Payment is collected in full before the analysis begins. We accept Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, and cash. This ensures there are no billing disputes and allows us to focus entirely on delivering your results.
A clean result is still a result. You'll receive a report documenting that the analysis was conducted thoroughly using professional forensic methods and that no concerning activity was found. That said, the analysis fee covers the professional time, tools, and expertise applied to the examination, regardless of the outcome.
Privacy & Confidentiality
Absolutely. All client information, communications, and findings are kept strictly confidential. We sign a Privacy & Confidentiality Agreement with every client. We do not share your information with anyone unless required by law (such as mandatory reporting of child abuse or exploitation under Arizona law). All forensic data is encrypted with AES-256 and securely deleted within 30 days.
All forensic images, extracted data, and working files are securely deleted within 30 days of delivering your report. You receive your findings report, and we retain nothing. If you need us to delete data sooner, we're happy to do so upon request.
Under Arizona law, if we discover evidence of child abuse, child exploitation, or child sexual abuse material (CSAM) during an analysis, we are legally obligated to report it to the appropriate authorities. This is the only circumstance under which we would share findings without your explicit consent. This is clearly stated in our consent forms and discussed during your consultation.
